Design and Location Requirements
The maximum height for fences in rear yards is 8ft tall and can be solid privacy design. NOTE: Fences that are taller than 7ft will require a building permit approval rather than a fence permit approval.
The maximum height for fences in side yards must be no taller than 6-ft tall and must be a semi-private design (cannot be solid privacy)
The maximum height for fences installed in a front yard must be no taller than 4-ft and must be a picket style that has at least 50% visibility.
Fences installed on a corner lot front / side-front yard must be no taller than 30″ within a street visibility triangle measured at 25-ft in either direction of the corner of the property/street.

One (1) copy of a detailed drawing/layout of the proposed fence installation must accompany your fence permit application. This proposed layout/drawing will need to include any buildings/structures on the property, any existing fences, walls, etc., and measurements of the proposed fence.
